Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Srinagar Airport
After breakfast, depart from Gulmarg and head to the airport or train station to travel back home. The holiday is over. Let’s stay in touch via email and Facebook and arrange to meet up again for another special holiday.
Day 2 Srinagar Sonamarg Kargil
Sonamarg, the Golden Meadow Depending on when the roads will open, depart from Srinagar. Another breathtaking aspect of the countryside in Kashmir in the Sindh Valley is the drive to Sonamarg. The Kashmir Valley’s largest tributary is the Sindhu Valley. Drive to Sonamarg through the scenic village on the way to Kargil (2740 Mtrs). the 3527-meter-long, roughest road after Sonamarg, and the wet Zojila pass (Gateway of Ladakh). driving in the direction of Drass (The second coldest inhabited place in the world). We will continue on for another two and a half hours to Kargil (2710 metres), which gained importance after Ladakh was made accessible to tourists in 1974. Hotel stay for the night. Day 3 Kargil to Leh
After an early breakfast, depart from Kargil, stopping along the way to see the monasteries of Mulbekh, Lamayuru, and Moon Landscape as you pass through the Namkila and Fatula Passes. On the way to Leh, stop at the 1,000-year-old Alchi monastery, the only Gompa in the Ladakh region that is located on flat ground. After that, travel to Likir Monastery to see the magnificent Dharma Wheel Gompa, which has three floors. The enormous Buddha statues here will leave you speechless., Indus & Zanskar river Sangam, drive along the Indus river stopping at Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill (where the cars defy gravity), then continue to Leh Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia) Stay the night at the hotel. Day 4 Hemis, Thiksey Shey monastery 3 Idiots School Campus Sindhu Darshan
After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh, Hemis Monastery, 45 kilometres west of Leh. You are taken back along the same route from Hemis to Thiksey Monastery, which is situated on a hilltop and offers commanding views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is famous for its enormous Maitreya statue that is seated, as well as for its (Dukhang) assembly hall, which has hundreds of rectangular prayer books that are bound in silk and stacked between wooden covers. Following that, we carry on driving past a number of chortens in order to visit Shey Palace, the former summer residence of the King of Ladakh. Visit to the 3 Idiots School campus by Sindhu Darshan. Day 5 Khardungla Pass 18380 Ft. Nubra Valley and Hundur Sand Dunes
Drive to Nubra Valley after breakfast via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft) Arrive in the afternoon at Hundur. After lunch, you have the rest of the day free to explore Deskit, Hunder Villages, and the camel safari in the sand dunes in between. a three-meal per day stay at the camp (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Day 6 Diskit monastery
Visit Diskit Monastery after breakfast, then take the same route back to Leh, passing through Khardungla Pass. By afternoon, get to Leh. Free time in the evening to explore the Leh market. Staying the night in the hotel (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Day 7 Pangong Lake
Leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 feet) after an early breakfast. Changla Pass, at 17,350 feet, is the third-highest motorable road in the world. Arrive at Pangong Lake, the world’s highest saltwater lake shared by China and India. On the banks of Pangong Lake, take in the stunning scenery while taking in the lake’s captivating high altitude and changing colours. Staying the night in the hotel (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Day 8 Drive back to Leh, evening Leh Palace & Shanti Stupa
Drive back to Leh after visiting the lake at sunrise, spend the afternoon touring the Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa, and spend the evening strolling through the local market. Staying the night in the hotel (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Day 9 Depart Leh
After breakfast, proceed to the Airport in Srinagar to reach your hometown. Holiday Concludes.
