Itinerary

Day 1 Cochin – Munnar

Your first day in the mystical paradise of God’s Own Country, situated between the Great Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats. When you arrive, a member of our staff will meet you at the airport or train station. As you travel, it will gradually become clear why this stunning country is considered one of the “Ten Paradise of the World.” Okay, let’s face the facts. Munnar is incredibly stunning! While many of its counterparts across the country, from Ooty to Darjeeling, have experienced an excessive exposure to tourism, this land’s beauty lies in the fact that it remained unpublicized for a very long time. The fresh, cool air filled with the lush carpet of plantations that greets you as you enter Munnar’s paradise transports you to a new level of peace and tranquilly.

Day 2 Munnar

After breakfast, travel to Munnar for a morning of sightseeing, stopping at Mattupetty Dam, which is home to a number of fascinating sights. Due to the variety of birds that can be found there, the Shola forests in the area of Mattupetty are excellent for hiking and bird watching. Kundala is a charming town situated at the meeting point of Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala, three mountain streams. Visit Echo Point, View Point, and the lush carpet of Tea Gardens en route. A hotel or resort stay for the night.

Day 3 Munnar

After breakfast, head to the boat jetty where you will board the houseboat with its traditional decor and start your enchanted backwater cruise. A distinctive output of Kerala are its backwaters. You’re sure to lose your heart during a cruise on a “Kettuvallam” (Houseboat) through the alluring backwaters. You are in a quiet, watery universe where you can even hear your own heartbeat. As you journey to bizarre Kerala, you will be healed physically and mentally by the glistening greens, emerald backwaters, coir-laden houseboats, and magical beauty. Houseboat overnight stay.

Day 4  Alappuzha/Kumarakom Houseboat

After breakfast, get off the houseboat and head to the train or airport in Cochin.
